scary/funny updates

It's odd how so many things about parenting are both scary and funny . . . case in point . . .
Garrett suddently started scooting. I knew that he could go a few inches, but as soon as my back was turned he went accross the room to my open soda bottle and dumped it all over his face. Getting it in his hair, ears, nose and mouth. He was coughing and sputtering and I ran to save him, but he was fine. Just a bit shocked. His tummy must have hurt for the evening but all is better now. Now that he is safe I can chuckle a bit.

Garrett now openly can scoot as far as he wants so I'm working on baby proofing more of my apt.

He loves looking in the mirror. His favorite game is a sort of peek a boo with two mirrors in our bathroom (one in front and one on the side). He can see me in three different spots so we make eye contact in each of the spots.

More updates: Mark is almost finnished being the assistant coach for the wrestling team. It has been tough having him gone for that but the money will help us out. I think Mark has enjoyed it as well.
I have reached my weight goal since having a baby!!! and celabrated it with a new pair of pants. I'm not sure when my stretched out tummy muscles will get firm again, but I am working on that as much as I can. (if anyone can tell me when is a good goal time for that I'd appriciate it :)
Mark and I now teach the 14 yr old sunday school class. It is so much fun. The girls fight over who gets to babysit Garrett for us and even the boys enjoy holding him durring class. (as long as they are still listening) We even got to come to their tuesday activity and teach them how to swing dance. It turned out well thanks to a few pointers from Jess before hand. I'm really enjoying being involved and getting to know new people.

HI sweeties,

Thanks for all the hard work you two parents do to keep your little family going. I salute you both. Way to go Garrett! Gotta love that soda pop! It is usually more scary for mom than baby when mishaps occur. As for the baby stretch marks - hmm - those are supposed to go away?? :)

Love,
Marme
