loads of fun

Here's Lucas enjoying the snow in his three blankets
Mommy and Garrett. He saw the snow first thing in the morning and was begging for a few hours (while it warmed up and I got ready) to play in it. It is great to experience things like this as a child.
After a bath sporting a fabulous faux-hawk
During a rain storm Garrett took refuge in his tunnel complete with 'free' (his bear) blanket and pillow.
Remember me saying that Garrett wasn't taking naps. . .that didn't work out. Here he is after falling asleep at the computer. Now, even though it takes a while to fall asleep he takes "quiet time" which always turns into nap time. Hooray for me also getting a nap time.
Brothers sharing pillow
Lucas's baby blessing was a great experience. It was daylight savings so I got to sleep in an extra hour. He was such a happy baby during (no crying). We had Grandpa Buck and Grandma Julie, the Heather and Nic clan, Grandma Reynolds, and the Tom and Laura clan join in the fun and stay for a lunch afterwards. I was "boy trapped" for much of it (ask Talmage) and the cousins from both sides were so cute together. It was a giggle fest.

more. . .

Relaxing in what we have termed the "belly bliss" position
This picture is great because Mark is the one who thought it was cute and ran for the camera.

Lucas Mark Jones is here!

After a early surprise delivery. (3 weeks early) Little Lucas was born on Saturday October 2nd at 10:35 pm. Weighing in at 5 lbs 12 oz and 19 inches long. Labor was very quick. Since he was so early we stayed in the hospital for an extra day monitoring his lungs, heart and sucking abilities. I am so happy to say that we are getting the hang of nursing and all seems to be going well.

Grandma Reynolds comes to the rescue! Upon hearing we were so early she jumped in a car and drove down to help with Garrett at home and stayed to help tired mommy.
Handsome and proud papa!
Garrett got a new 'big brother' toy train set. Here he is playing happily while visiting Mommy and Lucas in the hospital.
Mommy holding both her boys! a great moment in my life. Garrett is so gentle and happy to be a brother. Wanted to play trains with his brother but I explained that that would have to wait a while.
After a fast delivery (dr. made it just in time to catch).

This is Garrett singing twinkle twinkle little star. He likes it when we sing too.

This started off as cute father son playing then turned into "Lucas I am your father" into the fan to sound like Darth Vador. Lucas is what our new baby boys name will be.

July Fun

Camping and getting really dirty, and having fun doing it.
Picknick waiting for fireworks. Oops we went on the wrong night :( But we had fun walking and watching boats.

Dandelions for Mommy

Garrett was playing outside and I was sitting on the porch. I was feeling tired and more than a little down. Garrett suddenly brought me a dandelion and said. "Pretty flower" I said yes it is and he said "for you". Suddenly I was crying, filled with simple my boys simple display of love and gratitude for my family and blessings.

Welcome home Betsy!

Betsy is my drum set that I have been missing for two years (glad they had a good home).

While bringing it in Garrett got to play "pillow drums" with Grandma Julie

I get to play sometimes, usually with a cute little boy jumping up and down asking for his turn. I'm so proud!

Fun!

I was afraid that the drum noise would scare my son. He loves it! Look how cute the little drummer boy. Rock on son!

Singing and dancing with rock band.
Mark's birthday party.
Here's the whole band.
